The Full Monty

Based on the cult hit film of the same name, The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. The powerhouse team of Terrence McNally (Ragtime) and David Yazbek (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) cooks up raucous mix of razor-sharp humor and toe-tapping pizzazz. Right to the end, audiences will be wondering if these lovable misfits will really pull it off.

Production days/times: Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM
IMPORTANT: There will be a special “Industry Night” performance at 8 PM on Monday, 07/20/2020

Rehearsal & Production Dates & Locations:
Rehearsals begin Rehearsals will begin Sunday, June 8th and will run Sunday ‘s - Wednesday’s at 6:30 and Saturday’s from 11a.m. - 4 p.m..

Rehearsal location will vary depending on the day, but will typically be held among the following locations:
OB Playhouse, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, OB Womans Club, Fredericka Manor.

• Any known conflicts during the rehearsal process (No performance conflicts will be accommodated.)

Please prepare one minute or 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Singing from the show is welcome & encouraged, but not required. Please bring piano sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. (No A Capella or recorded tracks please)

If you are asked to come to callbacks, please be prepared to read, sing, and dance.
It is also to your advantage to be very familiar with the show.

Jerry Lukowski
An unemployed mill worker, fighting to maintain his pride and the custody of his only son. All-American jock and the definitive man's man. Spontaneous. Very prideful. This role requires nudity.

Jerry's estranged wife and high school sweetheart. She wants what is best for her son. Strong business woman, but also compassionate and motherly.

Georgie Bukatinsky
Dave's wife. She loves her husband, and worries about him. Loud, outgoing and brash. She is the "leader" of her group of girlfriends.

An unemployed supervisor at the mill. Hot Metal's choreographer. Thinks his worth comes from providing for his wife, so he hides his unemployment from her. This role requires nudity.

Harold's wife. She enjoys the finer things in life. Loves her husband more than anything, and supports him no matter what.

An unemployed mill worker. Lives at home with his mother. Depressed, suicidal, awkward, and feeble. Pigeon-chested. Finds comfort in Ethan. This role requires nudity.

A retired mill worker. Embarrassed about being an "average sized" Black man. Despite being old and slow when walking, he still has explosive dance moves. Frequently grumpy. This role requires nudity.

Jeanette Burmeister
A piano player of indeterminate years and show-business pro. Sassy, quick-witted, and larger than life. Has slowed down in recent years.

Nathan Lukowski.
Jerry's young son. Age 12. “12 years old going on forty” but young- looking for his age. Nathan can be stoic, sincere, and charming, but ultimately real as he deals with his parents' custody battle.
